Named for a cinematic strong man the Italian band Maciste "don't bring the weak shit" (as we really did say back in "the day"). Their eponymous debut album is a rip-snortin' good time that takes ska horns & organ and bolts them onto revvvved up circus rock.

Maciste has all the energy and attitude of a whiskey fueled celtic punk band but with their own weird, bowler hat-loving take crazed bar dance music. This is the kind of band that when you listen to them you jump up to bounce into your friends on the dance floor hoping that you won't spill your drink.

In short they are a damned good time and this album is worth your cash.
