On their self-titled CD Ragtime Skedaddlers present their take on traditional ragtime music with selections ranging from 1898 to 1909. The collection comes across are as a very solid "starter set" for those just exploring the genre. For those somewhat familiar with the era the fact that band performs the numbers as a mandolin-focused string trio instead of piano-based works will be a nice change of pace.
